This four day course covers all the basic skills needed to equip you on your journey into feltmaking. Standing alone, or combined together, these techniques are  the building blocks. This course is not about creating finished products, it is about learning the skills needed to develop your craft, so that when you go home, you can create to your hearts desire.

The course covers:

Basic Feltmaking: Flat Felt in its most basic form.

Nuno Felt:  Adding fibre to fabrics

Cobweb Felt: Creating ultra fine felt suitable for scarves and delicate wear.

Using Resists: How to create and bond layers of felt.   Also, three dimensional hollow vessels.

Balls, beads and cords:  Necessary details for creating texture, jewellery, handles for bags etc.  Incorporates needle felting techniques.
