Discharge printing is the method of removing colour from dyed fabric.
The discharge process creates really interesting effects. The 'bleach' can be created in different strengths, and bleaches out the colour to varying degrees. some dyes 'bleach' better than others.
In addition, colour can be removed, but replaced with an 'illuminating' dye, ( a dye unaffected by teh discharge), giving even more possiblities.
In this workshop ,working in pairs, you will mix your own discharge paste, and experiment with various application methods. You will go home with a variety of samples.
Price includes all materials, chemicals and goggles and mask to take home. (Silk screen not included.) Maximum 4 people |
